Don't Panic
Don’t Panic, Coldplay
“Bones sinking like stones.”
I love the image. In fact, the word “bones” finds its way to my heart very, very easily. It’s, like, the source of our strength, the thing that holds us together, keeps us intact.
“There’s nothing here to run from, ‘cause here, everybody here’s got somebody to lean on.”
A safe space.
But, really, can we just talk about the guitar solo in this song? About the electric blue and the golden that sort of shoots through it to light up the scene? About the way the music teases your brain, makes you expect something more, then get disappointed because the solo is too short?
Brilliant.
